VAT
The rule: The standard rate is 15%, with regular VAT returns.
With Hipersign ERP: Tax invoices in Arabic and English, VAT on every sale and purchase, and VAT return figures from your books.
Fatoora Phase 1
The rule: Since December 2021, invoices are generated electronically, with a QR code on simplified invoices.
With Hipersign ERP: Standard and simplified tax invoices with the ZATCA QR code.
Fatoora Phase 2
The rule: Invoices are integrated with the Fatoora platform as XML, with a cryptographic stamp and invoice chaining. Wave 24 brought in businesses with VAT revenue above SAR 375,000, with a deadline of 30 June 2026.

Arabic first
The rule: Invoices and business documents are usually issued in Arabic.
